If you are a racer you have asked yourself the question, “How do I find businesses that will help me out with my race program so I can get better equipment and win more races? And when I find them what can I possibly do for them to keep them on board?”
Well, there are a number of ideas out there on motorsports marketing. There are many publications out there free for you to read. They will all tell you about the same thing, “A professional team receives professional money.” What does this mean? That means, when a company is willing to put their name on the side of a race car and give the race team rights to promote their business, they have to put much trust into that race team and that trust which could take years to build, in a motorsports marketing situation, needs to happen in as little as three to six months.
A website is not just a website. It is a marketing tool. And for you racers out there, if you can’t promote yourself, do you think a potential marketing partner (sponsor) would think you can promote them?!
